The environment, terrain, and overall focus of trail running and walking are quite different from road running and walking, so it is important to be prepared. One of the reasons some people are wary of trails is that they are afraid of getting injured.
The uneven terrain, rocks, roots, narrow paths, and hills cause many inexperienced individuals to become anxious about what might happen. It does take a little while to become adept at “seeing” the trail, but by taking Trails 101, a beginner level course, you will safely gain the tools to make your first experience with trails a successful one!
